Nov 15 -- Thinking Thoughts for the Thought Thinker

Parishioner Alan Auciello is never at a shortage for words. A daily Mass attendee for nearly three decades, but with his ear to the New Brunswick streets running "Chicago's" hair salon on Somerset St, he has a wealth of unique life experiences that he draws upon in speaking of faith to religious ed groups and incarcerated teens.

Over two months, he has distilled some of his favorite thoughts to Twitter-size expressions that we'll be running on the blog and on our Twitter.

Today's thought:  
MAKE THE DECISION TO EXTEND KINDNESS AND FEEL THE WARMTH OF LOVE REPLACE EVERYTHING ELSE.

Previous thoughts:
TO BE HAPPY, THE SECRET IS TO EXTEND LOVE AND RECEIVE LOVE.

PRACTICE DAILY GRATITUDE AND WEALTH WILL COME TO YOU

THE KEY INGREDIENT TO HAPPINESS IS TO REALIZE THAT NOW IS THE ONLY TIME THERE IS.

When you fall you are sinking. Be still. Ask God for help and grab the vine.  Swing on home!

Don't perceive a situation wrongly if you are experiencing something other than compassion.

DON'T SEEK APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE, GIVE IT.

-Father/Son/Holy Spirit, 3 in 1, it's all possible with God.

What you resist will persist

LORD, MAY I LEARN TO MAKE MY WORK AN OFFERING TO YOU AND SERVICE TO OTHERS

NOTHING TO EARN, EVERYTHING TO ACCEPT

 A life-giving experience comes in part through our service to others

LORD, HELP ME DISCOVER THE JOY OF MAKING THE BEST OF WHAT I HAVE 
Know what you can change and what you can't

Think of God as a good dry cleaner

GOD HAS NO SCORECARD, MOVE ON ALREADY!

--Limitations to your happiness are the ones you invent 

-GIVING FROM THE HEART CREATES TRUST

--Choose to listen to the gentle voice within you as it offers you your answers.

--Listen more than you talk

--The world is a stage and everyone is playing a part.

-- When you stand for nothing you fall for everything!

--Life is a carnival, believe it or not.

--DON'T VALUE THE VALUELESS

--BEFORE JUDGING: PUT THE SHOE ON THE OTHER FOOT. DO TO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO TO YOU.

--TOMORROW IS FOR THOSE WHO DON'T WANT TO LIVE TODAY.

--JESUS IS ALWAYS KNOCKING BUT THE HEART OPENS FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

--IF YOU KNEW THE RESULTS OF THE GAME, THERE WOULD BE NO FUN PLAYING...SUCH IS LIFE!
